Cliff Sobol — Former President & Partner
Cliff Sobol brought decades of food-industry experience to Star Foods, with a background spanning manufacturing, processing, brokerage, sales, administration, and customer development.
As a longtime partner and President of Star Foods, Cliff played an important role in the company’s growth and day-to-day operations. His experience, relationships, and understanding of the food business helped Star Foods expand its customer base and strengthen its position within the industry.
Ted Silverberg — Founder & Former Owner
Ted Silverberg spent his career in the food industry, developing experience in food processing, brokerage, sales, and distribution before helping establish Star Foods. His entrepreneurial approach, industry knowledge, and ability to recognize opportunities helped create the foundation for the business and the relationships that allowed it to grow.
Ted’s vision was centered on finding value where others might not see it—matching available food inventory with customers who could put it to good use. That philosophy became an important part of the way Star Foods has conducted business for more than four decades.
Their Legacy
Ted and Cliff were instrumental in building the foundation of Star Foods. Their entrepreneurial spirit, industry relationships, and commitment to doing business the right way helped shape the company for future generations.
Although they are no longer with us, their influence remains an important part of Star Foods’ history and continues in the company today.
