Mark Lackritz

Mark joined Star Foods in 1990. Previous to his employment, Mark was trained as a chef with a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. His working background consisted of restaurant management, product control and sales in the food service industry. Throughout his career, Mark has enhanced his knowledge of the food and general merchandise business to give his customers a complete background on products that are available. Since 1996, Mark has been the overseeing sales, marketing, computer analysis and training.

Cliff Sobol

Cliff Sobol was more than a founding partner of Star Foods — he was the heart of our organization. From 1982 through 2026, Cliff helped build Star Foods with unwavering dedication, integrity, and a genuine passion for the people he worked alongside every day. His leadership, kindness, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on our company, our customers, and everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Beyond his remarkable work ethic and vision, Cliff was known for his sense of humor and ability to make people smile, even during the busiest days. His quick wit, laughter, and unforgettable personality brought warmth and energy to the workplace and made lasting impressions on everyone he met.

Cliff will be remembered not only for the company he helped build, but for the friendships he created, the guidance he shared, and the joy he brought to those around him. His legacy lives on in the foundation of Star Foods and in the countless lives he touched throughout his journey.

We are deeply grateful for Cliff’s contributions, friendship, and leadership, and he will be greatly missed by all of us at Star Foods.
